Scholars should return to class tomorrow with the children's storybook planning packet they will begin today. Additionally, they should actively review the notes taken Monday and Tuesday on sentences to prepare for the Mid-Unit Assessment Part I on Friday!

Scholars should complete sentence practice 3 and review notes taken yesterday and today to prepare for the assessment on Friday!
Scholar will be having Part I of the Mid-Unit Assessment on Friday 5/19. To prepare for this, they need to complete the sentence practice worksheet they will be given tonight and review the notes they take today and tomorrow.
Reminder: permission slips for the trip to MoMath on Friday 5/26 will be due this Friday! Over the weekend, scholars should complete the sentence practice worksheet. It will be necessary for Monday's lesson!!
Scholars will need to turn in their Final Draft of the process writing we have been doing on Friday 5/12. If handwritten, it should be in black/blue ink or pencil and should be impeccably legible! If typed, it should be 12 point, black font and double spaced.
Additionally, permission slips to MoMath will be due by Friday 5/19! Scholars should be sure to bring in their permission slip for a trip to MoMath on Friday, May 26th! The slip is due back by Friday, May 19th!
Scholars should indicated places in Draft 2 where they need to make revisions based on their peer feedback. They then should complete Draft 3 and have it prepared for tomorrow.
Over the weekend, scholars should complete Draft #2 of their process piece. They have received feedback (if a first draft was turned in) and should use those comments to guide their revisions.
Additionally, any scholar who did not turn in the Final Chapter assignment, should turn that is immediately! Over the weekend scholars should complete Draft #1 of their process writing piece. It needs to be turned in on Monday to ensure scholars are able to be given full feedback to assist them with revising next Friday!
Scholars should finish their pre-work packet which has been classwork all week in which they gather text details from the 5 excerpts of Douglass' Narrative that support his positions on slavery.
